Gratitude and Wonder.

The longer I live, the more I am convinced that each day is a gift, and that goodness is more abundant than not. I am also sure that each person, place, and thing has a mystery and depth to their story that is worth our time, and that we will find beauty there if we look well enough.

I grew up in the Bay Area in California, and found my own way directed toward greater beauty and greater grace through church. As I met people that loved Jesus so much that they actually started to love others the way Jesus did, I started to love him too. I started dreaming of spending my life building places where people can experience love and kindness that builds them up and restores the world.

So, off to school I went - I earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies at Azusa Pacific University, and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree at Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. I've worked as a pastor for over ten years – telling good stories to adults, youth, and kids and working with them to build a community where people experience and share the goodness of God together.

My family and I live in Flagstaff, AZ. We have a five year old boy who keeps us pretty busy, but I'm always looking for opportunities meet new folks, to talk about God, and speak to groups and classes.

I also enjoy a good board game (I'll trade you sheep for wheat).
